After serving as a medical expert in more than 70 lawsuits, Naomi Lungstrom knows there are a lot of ways health care can go wrong.

Amanda Bunch wanted to be a doctor, until she was diagnosed with a brain tumor at age 11.

After a difficult year of treatment, she changed her mind, her father said – she wanted to be a nurse.

Jessica Pearl, DNP candidate, Washington State University College of Nursing.
Expects to graduate in 2018 with her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree, with the goal of becoming a nurse practitioner.
Worked at the Coyote Ridge Corrections Center, a medium-security state prison in Connell, Washington, for the past seven years.

What is Convocation?
Convocation is a celebration of the College of Nursing, including undergraduate pinning and, this year for the first time, hooding of doctoral students.

How is that different from Commencement?
Commencement is the graduation ceremony for the entire university. It’s where academic degrees and diplomas are awarded, as well as academic honors. Information on WSU Spokane Commencement, including deadlines, is available at: https://spokane.wsu.edu/studentaffairs/commencement/
