Welcome Undergraduate Preceptors
Thank you for agreeing to serve as a preceptor for a senior nursing student from the Washington State University College of Nursing. The student assigned to you will be in the final month of their baccalaureate nursing education, enrolled in the Senior Practicum, N430. Having completed all the program requirements except the practicum, your student will be making the transition from student to graduate nurse. You will have a vital role in this transition.
Included on this website are materials that will assist you in precepting your practicum student. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact me, Gail Oneal, at 509-324-7263.
Faculty and administration at the college are aware of the importance of your involvement and we appreciate your willingness to contribute to our students’ education and to the nursing profession. Again, thank you for agreeing to be a preceptor. We hope it is a rewarding and enriching experience for you and your student.
