March DEI Advocates Selected

SPOKANE, Washington – Jennifer Larson, Assistant Professor, Washington State University (WSU) College of Nursing and graduate student, Angela Crable were both approved as Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Advocates in March of 2023. DEI advocates must be a College of Nursing student, staff or faculty member who has completed 10 or more hours of education related to diversity, equity, and inclusion, and a minimum of one activity dedicated to Diversity, Equity or Inclusion at WSU within the past two years.

Tri-Cities assistant professor, Jennifer Larson has been a member of the DEI committee since it’s inception in 2021. Larson is a member of the Education sub-group, which focuses on distributing DEI information to faculty, staff, and students. Most recently, Larson completed the WSU Community and Equity Certificate in Spring 2023.

Angela Crable is a graduate student in the College of Nursing and is currently participating in a 17-hour course on inclusive leadership from Coursera. Crable is looking forward to volunteering as a DEI advocate application reviewer for student submissions.
