Nursing Students at WSU Yakima Participate in Mass Casualty Incident Drill

 On April 13, 2024, nursing students from Washington State University Yakima’s College of Nursing participated in a Mass Casualty Incident simulation alongside peers from the College of Pharmacy and College of Osteopathic Medicine students. Held on the Pacific Northwest University (PNWU) campus, this exercise provided hands-on experience in emergency response and interprofessional collaboration, critical for managing real-world disasters.

Among the participants were WSU College of Nursing students Maron McCosh (S2), Crystal Colin (J2), Allison Hammermaster (J2), and Melissa White (J2), who utilized this opportunity to apply their academic knowledge in a practical, high-pressure environment, showcasing the importance of teamwork in emergency scenarios.
