The awards ceremony recognized several recipients, including Dr. Connie Nguyen-Truong, who received the MLK Community, Equity, and Social Justice Faculty Award for her work in advocating for underserved communities and advancing health equity. Dr. Nguyen-Truong is a professor of nursing and has been involved in numerous community-based research projects aimed at improving health outcomes for diverse populations.
