Kelsey’s nursing background is in Oncology and one-on-one support for students in school. She currently volunteers with the local needle exchange program and the Medical Reserve Corps. Her research is centered around the intersectionality of criminal justice, mental health, and substance use. Her area of focus is on the impacts of incarceration on individuals, partners and families, and communities. In the classroom, Kelsey is focussed on improving students’ sense of belonging and creating a collaborative learning environment through engagement and student support.
