Diana Swayze is in her 4th academic year at WSU College of Nursing. She has taught N325-Acute Care Clinicals to 2nd semester nursing students since 2020. Diana teaches Acute Care Adult theory class across all three campuses since 2021. Diana professional focus prior to Academic Educating was in the Emergency Department in the Seattle area since 1994. She has been involved in staffing committees including local nursing union, assisting the Clinical Nurse Educator in LEAN process, skills lab, presentations, training and ER new graduate resident program. Her passion is trauma nursing, pediatric & adult populations, care coordination & collaboration and best practice/policy revision. Diana graduated with her BSN from the WSU College of Nursing (ICNE) Spokane in 1993 and Masters in Nursing Education through Grand Canyon University in 2021.

Diana has two grown children and enjoys backpacking, hiking, paddle boarding and golf.
