Department Chair
Vicki Denson is the Foundational Practice Department Chair and a Clinical Associate Professor in the Washington State University College of Nursing. She holds a PhD in Nursing Science with a focus on health disparities and vulnerable populations from New Mexico State University, as well as a BSN and MSN with certification as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner from Arizona State University.
With over 20 years of clinical practice in women’s health in various community settings, her research interests lie in women’s health promotion, preventive screenings, health services delivery, and teaching strategies in the online environment. She is an advocate for diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) and strives to deliver student-centered learning in her educator role. Denson is also a member of several nursing associations and has received honors and awards for her teaching and research contributions.
