Convocation is the WSU College of Nursing’s traditional pinning ceremony, where nursing faculty honor pre-licensure BSN and RN-BSN graduates into the BSN profession by bestowing a nursing pin.
Graduate students are also welcomed at this ceremony and will be honored or hooded.

Convocation is different than Commencement, which features students from different colleges in one big ceremony together. Commencement ceremonies are held on varying campus depending on the semester. Doctoral students will be hooded at both Convocation and Commencement if they choose to participate in both ceremonies.
