MRC: Working With LGBTQ+ Communities

MRC of Spokane County and Spokane Regional Health District’s Public Health Emergency Preparedness and Response program are offering this cultural competency workshop to MRC members, free of charge. This training is ideal for people who provide direct services in the community (for example, immunization clinics, working in shelters, community outreach, etc.) Slots are limited. The workshop is facilitated by Spectrum Center Spokane.
The workshop summary:
An introductory interactive workshop to introduce language, issues, and experiences related to the LGBTQ+ community, as well as basic concepts of allyship and inclusive practices. … (2 hours)
This training meets criteria for:
Disaster Medicine and Public Health Competency (DMPH) 8.0 & 9.0
