Sheila Edwards has been selected as an Inclusivity Advocate at the WSU College of Nursing, bringing a wealth of experience in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI). Edwards has participated in continuing education on topics ranging from culturally and linguistically appropriate services (CLAS) to addressing unconscious bias and health equity. Edwards is well-prepared to support the College’s mission of fostering an inclusive environment. Her participation in key events such as the Black Maternal Health Conference and WSU’s Inclusivity Council-sponsored forums has deepened her understanding of the challenges students and faculty face in navigating complex health care landscapes.
