This year also marked the rollout of a new strategic plan for 2023-2026, aimed at aligning the College with the shifting health care landscape. The plan emphasizes competency-based education, interdisciplinary research, and community engagement to address regional health challenges. The report underscores WSU’s commitment to fostering diversity, with 44% of students coming from first-generation or rural backgrounds and 23% representing racial and ethnic populations. The College also achieved an impressive 96.83% pass rate on the NCLEX exam, awarded $395,000 in scholarships to students, and will be introducing a new dashboard to monitor progress on their strategic plan initiatives.
