The WSU College of Nursing celebrated its Spring 2024 Convocation on May 3, 2024, at Whitworth University in Spokane, WA. Dean Mary Koithan opened the event, followed by leadership insights from Chancellor Dr. Daryll DeWald. Student speaker Charis Williams shared her journey and words of encouragement for fellow graduates.
A diverse cohort of new nurses was introduced, including those earning PhD, Doctor of Nursing Practice, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing degrees. Dean Koithan emphasized the incredible opportunities ahead for these talented Coug Nurses, while urging them to return, share their stories, and mentor future nursing students.
The ceremony closed with heartfelt wishes for joy, purpose, and wonder, inspiring graduates as they embark on their careers with confidence and passion.
