WSU Recognizes Nursing for Excellence in Assessment

Jason Meade, Director of Curriculum and Evaluation; Vicki Denson, Department of Foundational Practice and Community-based Care Chair; Gail Oneal, previous BSN Program chair

Eight undergraduate programs across four WSU colleges were recognized on November 5, 2024 for exceptional assessment efforts that led to improvements in curriculum, teaching, and faculty development. Hosted by the Office of the Provost and the Office of Assessment for Curricular Effectiveness (ACE), this biennial recognition highlights the use of data-driven decisions to enhance student learning.

Among the recipients, the WSU College of Nursing was honored for its Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. Led by assessment coordinator Jason Meade, alongside Vicki Denson, Gail Oneal, and Dr. Tiffanie Rampley, the team successfully refined curriculum strategies across multiple campuses.

We are grateful for the dedication of our faculty and leadership in supporting effective program assessment at WSU.
