The Delta Chi-at-Large Chapter, representing Washington State University College of Nursing, Gonzaga University, and Eastern Washington University, welcomed new members during its Fall 2025 Induction and Research Meeting on December 3. The event brought together students, faculty, and supporters to honor academic excellence, leadership, and scholarship in nursing.

The evening opened with a reception and poster viewing, followed by dinner and a research presentation from Dr. Tullamora Landis Giardino. Her talk, Professional Identity in Nursing: Scale Development, Testing, and Future Directions, encouraged attendees to reflect on how nurses form and sustain their professional identity across their careers.
Sheila Hurst, WSU College of Nursing faculty member and Chapter President, delivered the welcome and introduced the 2025–2026 board. Joni Shaw, WSU College of Nursing faculty, and Tera Tveit, nursing lecturer, Gonzaga University, led the induction of new members, each of whom accepted membership in Sigma Theta Tau International and pledged a commitment to nursing excellence, knowledge, service, and leadership.

The Delta Chi-at-Large Chapter continues to build a strong, collaborative community of nurse leaders dedicated to advancing the profession through scholarship and service. The Fall 2025 ceremony highlighted that mission by celebrating emerging leaders who will shape the future of health care.
