Desired and Undesired Effects of Opioids: Morphine in the Brain
This session covers the effects of morphine on the brain and body, including its role in pain management, risks of prolonged use, and how it leads to tolerance, dependence, and opioid-induced hyperalgesia. Participants will also learn to recognize opioid overdose signs and appropriate antidotal therapy.
