Bevan Briggs started his nursing career working in an inpatient psychiatric hospital. Later, he transferred to the acute care floors and the emergency department while he studied for his Master’s Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner. He has worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner since 1999. His clinical focus has been in the Emergency Department and in Urgent Care Practice. He completed Epic Physician Builder training and has worked as a clinician informaticist since 2013. In 2016, Dr Briggs joined WSU College of Nursing at WSU Tri-Cities while he continued to work clinically as a Nurse Practitioner. In 2019, he accepted the position of Academic Director for WSU College of Nursing at WSU Tri-Cities. He is interested in expanding primary care and psychiatric care to the Tri-Cities by educating Family Nurse Practitioners and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioners.
