Choosing to stay close to home, Andersen enrolled at Washington State University’s Spokane campus, drawn by the opportunities it presented. For her, WSU was not just a choice but a stepping stone towards achieving her dreams. The university’s commitment to rural health mirrored her own, making it the perfect fit. She recognized the pressing need for healthcare professionals in smaller communities around Spokane, where hospitals and clinics are often in desperate need of skilled personnel.

Andersen speaks highly of the faculty and her professors, whom she describes as “super awesome to work with.” Their guidance and encouragement have been pivotal in her journey, helping her navigate the challenges of balancing motherhood and education.
