Rural Nursing Pathway

A new opportunity for aspiring nurses in rural Washington to earn their RN degree without leaving home.

Rural Education for Nursing in Washington

The WSU College of Nursing, supported by a grant from the Washington State Department of Health, is launching a Rural Nursing Pathway to help train nurses in their own communities. Students complete clinicals at a local hospital, take classes via Zoom, and receive support from adjunct WSU faculty—all while staying close to home.

This program helps rural hospitals grow their own RN workforce and supports students with affordable, flexible education options.
