Personnel Services
The College of Nursing Personnel Team is here to help with all personnel issues in the college, from onboarding a new team member to supporting current faculty and staff.
Please contact us at nursing.hr@wsu.edu and we’re happy to assist!
If you need to post a new position, please contact us immediately so we can help you get started. Please note that all position requests must be approved by the applicable budget authority before moving forward – have a conversation with your program director or department chair as appropriate!
The type of appointment will depend on your business needs and the duties that will be performed by the new position; all position types and titles are determined by Human Resource Services based on the information submitted in the position request. Please note that all appointments require a background check.
Once a position is posted, we will contact search committee members to schedule preparation/training – this will include processes and procedures for applicant review, bias awareness discussions, and best practice tips, as well as the importance of providing a positive candidate experience. Additionally, HRS offers recruitment training for faculty and staff searches – that information is available here.
Our goal with every hire is to ensure a transparent and equitable process throughout – from position description to applicant review, interviews, and hiring. Once a hire is made, we will work with the supervisor to provide a smooth transition and welcoming onboarding process for new team members.
To get started with a position request and posting, please contact us at nursing.hr@wsu.edu.
