Honors College Direct Admit

Each semester, up to 10 WSU Honors College freshmen declaring nursing as their major will be admitted to WSU College of Nursing

This is a unique opportunity for incoming freshmen who are interested in pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN). Traditionally, students interested in the BSN program would need to apply during their sophomore year. The Honors College direct admit allows you to apply for early admission to the College of Nursing directly out of high school if all requirements are met.

If you are accepted into the BSN program, you will need to complete all Honors College and College of Nursing prerequisite courses and maintain the required grades to remain in the program. The program includes 2 years of study in Pullman and 2 years in Spokane. Though you will be primarily advised by Honors faculty, you will also maintain a relationship with a pre-nursing advisor on the Pullman campus and a nursing faculty member. Nursing courses begin your junior year, in Spokane.
