The graduate level nursing, prevention sciences, or environment student will be collaborating with Dr. Claire Richards on her electric utility and wildfire research, which is conducted within the structure of an interdisciplinary team across the country but primarily based in Alaska.
The student must be experienced with conducting literature reviews or have strong writing and critical thinking skills and possess an interest in emergency management / public health, rural health, and adaptation to climate change.
The student should have strong communication, organizational and leadership skills and be technically proficient using computers and a variety of software solutions such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc) and cloud-based applications (Outlook, Google Drive, OneDrive, Zoom, etc).
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science (Master’s preferred)
• Enrolled in graduate Nursing, Prevention Sciences, Environmental & Natural Resource Sciences or related program
