Leading Responsible AI: Ethical, Legal, and Policy Frameworks for Nurse Leaders

Artificial intelligence is rapidly transforming healthcare delivery, clinical decision-making, documentation, education, and operations. Designed for the Jonas Alumni Network, this session examines the ethical, legal, and policy frameworks needed to guide responsible AI adoption. Participants will explore governance structures, patient privacy, algorithmic bias, transparency, human oversight, vendor accountability, and continuous monitoring. Through a practical healthcare scenario, attendees will consider how nurse leaders can translate national guidance into organizational policies and safeguards that protect patients, support clinicians, advance health equity, and build trust.
