Course Description
This in-person adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) clinical training program is geared toward the Registered Nurse or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse planning on practicing in the role of SANE.
This course meets the IAFN SANE Education Guidelines and provides 16 contact hours in nursing upon completion.
Requirements:
- Participants must have a minimum of an RN license before beginning this course
- Participants must provide proof of completion of a 40-hour SANE training prior to taking this course

Washington State University College of Nursing is approved as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by Montana Nurses Association, an accredited approver with distinction by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
A minimum of five (5) participants is required for this course to be conducted. Registration will close precisely two weeks before the course begins, and confirmation of the course’s status will be sent to all registered learners at that point.
Cancellations must be received in writing via email at nursing.profdev@wsu.edu prior to the course’s start date.

Please note that 100% of the course fee will be forfeited if one of the following occurs:
• The registrant does not enroll in another program within one year of the original course start date.
• The registrant has not requested a refund within one year of the original course start date.
• The registrant transfers more than once.
