We are seeking a Full-Time Mother-Baby Unit Registered Nurse for our Samaritan Healthcare community! From EPIC implementation to our nurse residency program, at Samaritan, we are committed to providing and living out our values within our work environment and while providing the best care to our patients. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients under your licensing scope and standards of practice. You work closely with patients, physicians, and clinicians to ensure optimal patient care and outcome. Our Mother-Baby Unit nurses provide L & D and postpartum care. This is a Full Time 36 hour/week variable shift position.
Wage Scale: $36.64 – $68.37/ hour DOE
You may qualify for this position with the following credentialing and experience:
- Experience as an acute care registered nurse preferred.
- Ability to perform the primary functions of a Registered Nurse in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care of all assigned patients.
- HCP (Healthcare Provider) Level of BLS (Basic Life Support) within 30 days of hire – AHA or equivalent.
Mother-Baby Unit Competencies:
- ACLS (AHA Advanced Life Support) certification to be obtained within 6 months of completing L&D training and renewed every 2 years.
- NRP (AAP Neonatal Resuscitation Program) is required for all RN’s working labor and delivery and is to be obtained within 6 months of completing L&D training and renewed every 2 years.
- AWHONN’s Intermediate Fetal Monitoring course for all L&D RNs is required and must be obtained within 6 months of completing L&D training and renewed every two years. Advanced Fetal Monitoring course will be considered acceptable.
- MSE Skills: Competency validation for all labor and delivery RN’s to be completed within six (6) months of L&D training.
