Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) Fully Remote, Flexible Telepsychiatry Position

Join a private telepsychiatry practice providing holistic mental health care. You will have mentorship from a psychiatric nurse practitioner trained at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute and in meaning-centered psychotherapy. We will provide continuing education reimbursement to encourage that you stay up to date and well-rounded in your practice. You will have the flexibility to decide the length of your appointments based on the patient’s individual needs. We encourage the use of psychotherapy in combination with medication management.

Qualifications

*Prefers that NP resides in Washington.

Licensed and board-certified PMHNP in Washington and Oregon State (or licensed in both states by start of employment since we serve the Pacific Northwest).

Active DEA License, NPI, and liability insurance.

Quiet, private space at home with adequate internet connection to hold telepsychiatry sessions remotely.

At least 1 year of experience is preferred, but new graduates with inpatient nursing or psychiatry experience are welcome.

Registration with the state health authority to check controlled substance records.

Ability to touch type and type at least 50 wpm preferred.

Responsibilities

New patient assessments are 60 minutes.

You can make the clinical decision to have 20, 30 or 40 minute follow-ups based on clinical need/complexity.

Treat adults with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD, OCD. Screen for higher level of care cases to refer to local, full-service clinics.

You will need to be familiar with DSM5 criteria, ICD 10 codes, and billing codes associated with your encounter. Our dedicated billing specialist will always be available to answer your questions and provide training to make sure you are compliant with insurance requirements.

Interpret lab results and review patient medical records as needed.

Incorporate a holistic practice, mentored by a nurse practitioner who has had integrative psychiatry training.

You will start as part-time, increasing your hours as your build your caseload. You should have a full caseload after 3 months of being fully credentialed. The practice will pay for all marketing efforts to ensure you have a full schedule.
