Natsuko Wood lands Sigma grant

Assistant Professor Natsuko Wood, PhD, RN, has received the 2021 small grant from Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing for her project entitled, The Breastfeeding Relationship between Employed Mother and Infant Dyads: A Mixed Methods Prospective Study.

The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of maternal employment on the breastfeeding relationship and its relation to maternal emotions, and to explore maternal breastfeeding experiences. The results of this study will help better serve mothers to sustain their breastfeeding while working. The study will be launched in June 2022.
