Hello WSU Nursing and Pharmacy!
The students of PNWU would like to extend an invitation to a community building event next Thursday, September 30th from 12-1pm. The event will be an opportunity for our campuses to come together as one community. It will be held on the grass behind BHH, and is B.Y.O-Lunch. Students are encouraged to mingle between campuses, and interest groups will be available to facilitate discussion of mutual interests. Additionally, several PNWU clubs will be represented so that WSU students may join if they are interested.
This event is occurring simultaneously with a large, multi-club donation drive for Afghan refugees, and we would love to involve WSU Nursing and Pharmacy in this community service project. There are donation boxes around campus currently (one in BHH and one in Watson), and there will be a table set up at the community building lunch event. Donations received at the lunch event will enter the donating student into a raffle for fun prizes! I have attached the flyer for the donation drive which provides more information on the accepting organization, the items being collected, and the dates of the drive. We are also accepting community donations!
Thank you for passing the information for this event on to your students. We hope to have a great turnout and build a real sense of community between our schools.
