Patrons of the parking lots on the Spokane campus will notice a new way to pay for daily and hourly parking permits. WSU Spokane has removed the old payment kiosks in favor of signs instructing customers to purchase daily and hourly parking permits through their smartphones. Users will simply scan the QR code posted on the signs in each parking lot and will follow the prompts on their smartphones. Users will select the time, enter their license plate number and payment information—and that’s it!
All major credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and PayPal are accepted.
Users can also download the Honk mobile app to pay for parking ahead of time, saving even more time once they arrive on campus. Downloading the Honk mobile app allows users to add more time and receive text alerts 15 minutes prior to when their parking expires. This is especially convenient for people coming to campus for meetings or events.
