Resources for Preceptors
The Graduate Student Handbook, which can be found on our website at https://nursing.wsu.edu/current/ under the heading “Manuals & Handbooks,” provides extensive detail about the professional expectations of graduate students.
DNP Program Outcomes
Essential to the background of the WSU DNP Program outcomes is the understanding that the program MUST also meet national requirements to be accredited. The DNP Program was accredited by the Commission on Collegiate Education in 2014. Accreditation is based on our assessment and representation of meeting the DNP Essentials as well as the NTF Criteria for the nurse practitioner tracks.
Additionally, the standards required for population-focused study such as the Quad Council Competencies for Public Health Nurses and the National Organization of Nurse Practitioner Faculty Competencies are expectations we, as a program, must ensure we are providing during your education with us.
