In 2011, The American Association of Colleges of Nursing published recommendations for colleges of nursing to address environmental health and environmental sustainability in their programs. The 2 primary focus areas were to increase the course content on environmental health and environmental sustainability and to evaluate and decrease the environmental footprint of colleges of nursing in the United States. The following 2 videos were created by Washington State University College of Nursing to help move this effort forward, describing steps taken at the college to do so.
