Shandeigh Berry is the research assistant to Dr. Shelly Fritz at the WSU College of Nursing Vancouver. Ms. Berry’s primary research investigates perinatal grief surrounding anencephaly. She is currently working on her dissertation examining the lived experience of parents who have had an anencephalic pregnancy. The results of these studies will help better educate healthcare professionals concerning appropriate and meaningful treatment paths, as well as investigating the long-term impact of perinatal grief on psychosocial health and wellness.
