Welcome to the College of Nursing! This page is a resource for all new employees who need assistance with the on-boarding process. Listed below are several links and references for required procedures, necessary documents, and additional information that you will need as a new employee of the college.

Business Cards
Business cards can be ordered by the Business and Finance Office in Spokane. Contact

Copy Code
Please contact the Business and Finance Office for a copy code. All faculty use 12386 unless expensed to a grant.

Email Signature
We strongly encourage all faculty and staff to use the WSU College of Nursing email signature for all email communication. To use the approved signature, please copy/paste the below signature into your email for consistency with the college.

Human Resources Onboarding Resources
Refer to the WSU Human Resources website for a complete list of onboarding resources, required and recommended trainings, and new employee orientation. Also visit the New Employee Resources page.

A signed key log card is needed before the Business and Finance Office is able to order and pick up your initial office keys. Contact the Business and Finance Office at 509-324-7308 if you have not signed a key card or need to order additional keys. You will be notified once your keys are received from Facilities. You are responsible for the return of all issued keys.

Magnetic Badge, College of Nursing ID, and CougarCard
Magnetic name badges are ordered at the beginning of each semester and distributed. WSU ID and CougarCards can be picked up at the Spokane Academic Center building (SAC) following your first day of employment.

Parking Information

WSU Payroll Services provides a New Employee Orientation PowerPoint that covers most payroll-related questions. You can also access specific webpages for information regarding Pay Days,  Direct Deposit, and W-4 tax information.

Every employee has a profile page on the college website complete with a photo, contact information, etc. Please make arrangements to have your photo taken at your respective site. To schedule, contact:

Voicemail Setup
The default password is 12345. The system will walk you through the steps to change your password. Voicemail frequently used commands.

Help Desk

The Intranet is our internal website that serves the internal communication needs of faculty and staff. You must login to the site using your WSU Network ID and Password.

Learning Management System
Faculty use Canvas as the learning management system to teach their courses. This allows for online interaction, educational assessment, and provides students with easy access to course-related materials.

myWSU is an internal website and resource for students, faculty, staff, and alumni to access secure information regarding their records at Washington State University, including training, emergency notification, HR, payroll and benefits information, and WSU announcements.

Safety Information

Travel Information

A signed Travel Authorization form (TA) is required for all travel. Please refer to the Travel site for additional information related to state travel and reimbursement. Questions?  Contact WSU Travel Services or the Business and Finance Office.

  • There are many professional and personal development trainings available to faculty and staff on the HRS (human resources) website. Consult with your supervisor if you are interested in taking additional training.


As faculty, you will be responsible for uploading supporting documents of your immunizations, background check, license, etc. in CREST, which tracks compliancy. Questions? Contact Heidi Belcher.

Faculty Bios
All faculty members should have a biography page that includes information about their background, education, research, etc. Please fill out the biosketch form online.
