DESCRIPTION:Improve your ability to read and review professional journal articles with a free Continuing Education Series Pain Management Nursing Peer Review Skills Building.  \nLed by the Associate Editor of Pain Management Nursing\, WSU College of Nursing’s Associate Professor Marian Wilson and Editor-in-Chief Elaine Miller\, PhD\, RN from the University of Cincinnati\,  three interactive sessions will build skills needed for peer review. \nMark your calendars for every other Wednesday afternoon from Noon – 1 PM PST on Zoom November 5\, 19\, and December 3.  \nThis series will cover topics essential to complete peer reviews for the American Society for Pain Management Nursing’s official journal Pain Management Nursing including the role and responsibilities of peer reviewers\, resources available to assist reviewers\, and tips on how to construct a review. This opportunity open to anyone interested in joining Pain Management Nursing journal as a peer reviewer or would like to build their publishing skills. Please email marian.wilson@wsu.edu if interested in attending the sessions or volunteering as a Pain Management Nursing peer reviewer. \nGreater Kansas City Chapter of the American Society for Pain Management Nursing is approved as a provider of continuing nursing education by the Kansas State Board of Nursing.  This course offering is approved for 4.5 contact hours applicable for RN\, LPN\, LMHT relicensure.  Kansas State Board of Nursing provider number LT0279-0412GKCC612.

DESCRIPTION:CALL FOR POSTERS  \nAbstracts are due on or before 11/14/2025  \nYou are invited to submit abstracts for an online poster session at the Sigma Theta Tau Research Meeting and Induction 2025! \nThe purpose of this meeting is to promote communication about nursing research\, education\, practice\, and leadership in the community. A poster session is a visual display (PowerPoint) of completed or in progress work. Please refer to the Sigma Abstract Rubric attachment as a resource guide. \nOur in-person and hybrid Research Meeting and Induction:  \nDecember 3rd 5:30 – 7pm \nWho should submit an abstract? Presenters include nursing students\, nurse clinicians\, nurse researchers and scholars. Both research and innovation or scholarly projects are eligible for poster presentations. DESCRIPTION:Convocation is the WSU College of Nursing’s traditional pinning ceremony\, where nursing faculty welcome prelicensure BSN graduates into the profession by bestowing a nursing pin. \n\nWe also celebrate our graduate students and RN-BSN graduates at the Convocation ceremony. \nConvocation is different than Commencement\, which is the traditional graduation ceremony featuring campus and university administrators and students from different colleges.
