WSU College of Nursing students are hosting this second annual event for kids with dietary restrictions or other special needs. There will be games, crafts and prizes, plus carb counts on all of the treats, gluten-free options, and a peanut-free environment. The location, in the Bookie building on the WSU Health Sciences Spokane campus, is accessible. Best of all, it's free, with free parking. Accessible entrance is on the south side of the building.

The WSU College of Nursing and the WSU College of Veterinary Medicine will hold their third Healthy People + Healthy Pets clinic on Feb. 22 in Spokane. The clinic offers free immunizations, health screenings and simple treatments for homeless and low-income people and their pets, thanks to students, faculty, and the support of organizations like the MultiCare Community Partnership Fund and the Denice Murphy Community Nursing Endowment. The Nurse Practitioner Group of Spokane and the Washington State University College of Nursing are co-sponsoring this workshop including educational sessions and networking opportunities. Topics include non-opioid pharmacological pain options, MAT, having difficult conversations, acupuncture and cannabanoids. It's free to NPGS members, enrolled WSU NP students and NP graduate faculty.
