IPE Speed Dating -Session 2

This popular activity provides students in all 12 health professions on the Spokane campus an opportunity to talk with one another ….. face-to-face ….. with specific questions to guide the discussion. Pairs of students (from different professions) share information about their program, professional requirements for licensure, clinical experiences, potential jobs, and how the 2 professions might work together to provide high quality care for future patients. Special screening of “Defining Hope” documentary

"Defining Hope" follows eight patients with life-threatening illness, and the nurses who guide them in making critical decisions along the way. Nurses who attend will receive 1.25 free contact hours for watching the film and completing an evaluation. Casualty First Responder Simulation

Participants will learn how to take immediate steps to stabilize persons injured in a mass casualty incident, practicing applying a tourniquet correctly, maintaining a patent airway, stop bleeding, and improvise until help arrives.
