Dr. Landis completed her PhD in Nursing at the Washington State University College of Nursing under the guidance of Dr. Billie Severtsen. She is board certified as a Medical-Surgical Nurse from the American Nurses Credentialing Center and as a Clinical Nurse Leader from the American Association of the Colleges of Nursing. As a nurse scientist, she is experienced in leading research in philosophical hermeneutic phenomenology as well as other qualitative methods. Her research interests including professional identity in nursing scale development, nurse workforce issues, and nursing education strategies.
