I am a Teaching Assistant for WSU nursing undergraduates and a current student at WSU pursuing my Doctor of Nursing Practice Degree specializing in primary care Family Nursing Practice. I graduated from WSU in 2015 with my bachelors degree in Nursing. Since my graduation, I’ve practiced as a RN, BSN in Cardiac Transplant and Trauma/Neuro Intensive Care Unit. Providing care to patients in the ICU has been my favorite place thus far in nursing. The ever changing fast-paced nursing environment coupled with helping patients and families through the most challenging day of their lives is so rewarding. I’ve never been prouder to work with my ICU team then through the COVID-19 pandemic. The ingenuity, perseverance, and tenacity that each nurse brought to work everyday inspired and reminded me why I became a nurse. I have loved every step along the way in nursing and am looking forward to all the future ones.
