Barbara Jayne Beebe is an Associate Professor (Career Track) in Washington State University College of Nursing Yakima. She is
president and founder of Sprit of Hope, Equine Center for Life & Learning, a Palliative Care and Pain Specialist, and an Equine Specialist Level I for both EAGALA and EFMHA. She has recently become a Certified Instructor for Mental Health First Aid, a 12 hour course that teaches skills for providing initial help to people experiencing mental health problems such as depression, anxiety disorders, psychosis and substance use disorders. She has nine years’  therapeutic horse riding instructor experience.  Barbara Jayne is extremely interested in implementing the importance of non-verbal communication in both the medical community and in corporate team building.  In addition, she is open to research into different areas within the medical field.
