Welcome from the Director

MN Program Director

MN in Population Health Admitted Student,

Welcome and congratulations on being accepted into the master’s program at Washington State University College of Nursing. Being a graduate student is a singular life event that will leave you with many fond memories. Nurses with graduate degrees are a scarcity. You and your cohorts are desperately needed to advance evidence-based nursing practice and to fulfill your ambition of being a leader, educator, researcher, and/or health policy advocate.

The Population Health faculty are excited to implement a new streamlined curriculum that greatly reduces the credits required for graduation. The College of Nursing website contains the courses offered for the various specialty tracks in Population Health and our graduate certificates.

Plan on an orientation to the master’s program in August. Also, check out the online WSU Graduate School Policies and Procedures Manual and watch for timely announcements in the online Graduate Student Newsletter. Please contact our Graduate Programs Office at 509-324-7334 if you need information or assistance.

We are honored to have you as a graduate student in our Population Health program. Have fun!

Kindest regards,
Dr. Denise Smart
