Resources for Yakima Students

Housing for Yakima nursing students is offered through Yakima Valley Community College. For more information, please visit the YVC Housing webpage.

Scholarships and Funding Opportunities

The WSU College of Nursing provides more than $310,450 in scholarships to nursing students every year. Numerous endowed scholarships have been given by donors, friends, and alumni who are committed to the education of Cougar nurses. You must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at the WSU College of Nursing and have completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to be eligible to apply. Visit the Scholarships page for information on how to apply.

Media and Library Services

Yakima’s library offers campus computing, technical support, and a library circulation desk to assist students with media and provide helpful resources. Additionally, students are issued a Cougar Card for printing and checking out books. For more information, contact Tom McMeekin.

Videoconferencing connects two or more distance learning classrooms via a real-time two-way audio and visual link. Interactive lectures including presentation slides and videos are shared with students in Yakima using state-of-the-art technologies to connect with other WSU locations over our network. For more information, contact Jeff Thysell.
