Standardized Patient Program
Standardized patient simulation involves the use of individuals trained to portray the roles of patients, family members or others. The Standardized Patient Program (SPP) is an educational resource used for both teaching and evaluating the clinical skills of Advanced Practice Nursing students and other Health Science professional students.
The SPP recruits and trains candidates to become Standardized Patients (SP) and also serves as an institutional resource for community partners.
The Elson S. Floyd College of Medicine manages the standardized patient program for the entire WSU Health Sciences Spokane campus.
