WSU COLLEGE OF NURSING | GRADUATE PROGRAMS
Message from the DNP Director
Dr. Anne Mason, DNP Director
Welcome to the WSU Doctor of Nursing Practice program! We are excited that you have chosen to attend the Washington State University College of Nursing.
Currently more than 150 registered nurses are actively engaged in studies at the college leading to the DNP degree, pursuing specialties as family nurse practitioners, psychiatric nurse practitioners, population health nurses, and post-master’s DNPs. We admitted over 75 new students into the fall 2017 cohort and each year graduate more DNP-prepared nurses who positively impact the clinical environments in which they work and carry the WSU vision into the future.
It’s an exciting time in nursing, especially for graduate-prepared nurses: changes in health care policies across Washington and other states; full practice authority for nurse practitioners in the VA and now in 23 states plus Washington DC; the appointment of a nurse Surgeon General… the list goes on. DNP-prepared nurses are in high demand and are making significant differences in transforming practice, and you will too.
We are thrilled to have you and look forward to seeing where your future as a WSU graduate-prepared nurse takes you.
Anne Mason, DNP
