Spring 2022 Application

May 1, 2021

NursingCAS application opens for Spring 2022 admission. Please enter all course work including planned/in progress.

July 10, 2021

  • TEAS test Transcript must be uploaded to NursingCAS. TEAS test is valid from July 2020-July 2021. More information about TEAS Testing can be found at https://nursing.wsu.edu/academic/bsn/teas
  • Deadline to apply to Nursing CAS for spring 2022 admission. (The application closes at 8:59 p.m. Pacific Time or 11:59 p.m. Eastern Standard Time).  There is a $55.00 application fee due at the time of submission.  College of Nursing admission committee does not review letters of recommendation or personal essays. Students must select only one campus to apply. Please review the NursingCAS Application Instructions if you need assistance applying through NursingCAS.
  • Submit documentation of Volunteer/Work Experience to Nursing CAS.  Download and fill out the Experience Log Form.  All applicants must complete a minimum of 50 volunteer/work hours in a health-related setting. Volunteer/work hours must be within the last three years. Students should contact the advisor for the campus they are applying to if they have questions.
    • Due to Covid 19, applicants that cannot complete the required 50 hour work/volunteer experience, you can complete the following alternate assignment. Submit a one page essay, single spaced and typed.  You need to include “The Role of a Nurse”, what has influenced your decision to become a nurse, and what personal experience you have had related to the nursing role.  If you only have partial work/volunteer hours, please submit the Experience Log Form along with your essay.

August 5, 2021

All grades through Spring 2021 must be verified by Nurs CAS.  If they are not verified by this date, applications will not be considered for review by the College of Nursing.

August 17, 2021

For Students with summer grades:  Unofficial Transcripts should be sent to the applicants pre nursing advisor for GPA recalculation.  Students with summer grades will not be considered if we have not received transcripts.  Official Transcripts should be submitted at the time of application to WSU.  If invited to an interview, applicants will need to send an official transcript to the university with summer grades.

The following dates may be updated as needed but will not significantly differ

October 11-15, 2021

Interview Decisions will be emailed to students at the address listed on your Nurs CAS application. (Please update if needed).

October 25-28, 2021

Interviews will be conducted using Kira Talent*.

November 15-19, 2021

Admission decisions will be emailed to students

*For spring 2022 admissions, the College of Nursing will be partnering with Kira Talent for the Interview Process.  We will supply more information to our applicants closer to the interview timeline.

Fall 2021 Application

October 1, 2020

NursingCAS application opens for August 2021 admission. Please enter all course work including planned/in progress.  Please note that there may be a delay in the NursingCAS application opening, and it may open instead on October 2 or 3.

For fall 2021 Admission Only: The College of Nursing has decided to waive the TEAS requirement for this cycle. Applicants do not need to complete the TEAS or upload scores to their application. Score reports uploaded to an application will not be factored into consideration.

December 20, 2020

January 15, 2021

All official transcripts must be submitted to NursingCAS.

February 5, 2021

All grades through Fall 2020 must be verified by NursingCAS.  If they are not verified by this date, applications may not be considered for review by the College of Nursing.

March 15-19

Interview letters will be e-mailed to the address listed on your NursingCAS application.

For students with Winter 2021 grades: For students on a quarter system, you must e-mail an unofficial copy of your transcript with your Winter 2021 grades to the campus you applied by March 30. If you fail to provide your winter grades, you will be ineligible and will not be considered for admission.

INTERVIEW DATE
April 1-2, 2021.  Please do not make any other plans for these dates, as only extremely extenuating circumstances will be considered for rescheduling.  Fall 2021 Interviews will be conducted via Zoom.

April 14-16, 2021

Admission letters will be e-mailed to the address listed on your NursingCAS application.
