Mary Jane Groebner
Instructor SNRS 249

Mary Groebner’s clinical experiences have provided her with a broad background in management skills and nursing practice in various specialties and organizations locally and in other states. Initially, she was a float nurse on medical-surgical units and a year later found the door opened for Neonatal ICU with the opportunity to learn from a diverse population of ethnic groups. Flexibility has always been important to her. Mary moved to ICU, Pediatrics, and became employed at the Heart Institute as a clinician and for a short period of time practiced in rural nursing and Pediatric Home Health. I found meeting the holistic comfort care needs of the dying patient and families in my later years of hospital nursing. She have always enjoyed teaching her patients and thier families and new employees and has enjoyed her role as a preceptor for students. She furthered her education later in life and graduated from Gonzaga University in the spring of 2010 with my Master’s in Nursing Education. She loves to travel, the outdoors, watercolor painting, knitting, yoga and enjoy spending time with my family and friends.
