Support WSU College of Nursing
Student nurses at WSU are embedded in Washington’s communities, providing care not only for those in hospitals and health clinics, but for people living on the streets, low-income families, and/or individuals fighting addictions and mental illness. As a part of their nursing education, students spend one semester focusing on community health, rotating through clinical sites such as the Union Gospel Mission and Catholic Charities. WSU student nurses embrace caring for all aspects of the patient – connecting the dots to community resources, providing health checks, and reaching out to them wherever they are. Meet one student and faculty who are committed to caring for the underserved and how they make a big difference in creating a healthier people and communities.
