Nursing instructors at free Immunization Clinic

Congratulations to our Spokane N427 clinical students and faculty who helped immunize more than 1,000 Spokane County residents, of whom 80% were children, at 12 immunization clinics throughout Eastern Washington. These clinics required a collaborative approach to be successful and partners included the Spokane Regional Health District, WSU College of Nursing, WSU College of Pharmacy, Eastern Washington Medical Reserve Corps, Group Health Foundation, and all of the hosting school districts.

“I am very proud of our student and faculty volunteers,” said Amy Frances, a community health instructor. “Each clinic requires 4+ hours to conduct plus the time needed to prepare and review vaccine preparation and administration (another 2-4 hours).”
