- Sign up for workshops sponsored by the
Office of Grant and Research Development.

- Education in the Responsible Conduct of
Research is mandatory for all WSU faculty and
graduate students. WSU establishes the
expectation for the highest standards of
responsible research conduct - standards
which are, in many cases, reinforced by law
or sponsor regulations.

|
- Principal investigators must complete
Basic/Refresher Required Modules of the
web-based Collaborative IRB Training
Initiative (CITI) Course for social behavior
research and biomedical research areas.
|
- WSU IRB requires the PI and encourages
all staff involved in the research to
complete CITI training in the ethical use of
human participants in research. The PI is
ultimately responsible to adequately train
all staff listed on the application in the
protection of human participants in research.
Retraining is required every five
years.

- The Office of Research Faculty
Development Series (FDS) is a broad
curriculum designed to educate WSU Faculty in
many aspects of successful proposal
development and sponsored project management.
FDS tracks offered include Faculty Education
Track (FET) and the Productive Proposal
Writing Track (PPW), coordinated by the
Office of Grant and Research Development
(OGRD).
