Na-ha-shnee

This country is facing a critical nursing shortage. By 2015, the U.S. will more diverse, populated and older and will need 381,250 more nurses than we have now!  The shortage is even greater in Indian Country.

Na-ha-shnee is a camp for Native American High School students entering grades 10-12.  This camp gives students opportunities to explore the nursing profession.

The camp is located in Spokane, Washington.  It's curriculum is designed to preserve and enhance cultural identity or Native American heritage, provide hands-on learning about the nursing profession and assist students in preparation for college.
