Common Telephone Problems

If the phone is repeating a message:

Private - Private - Turn off "Do Not Disturb" by pressing #6

Forward - Forward - Turn off "Call Forwarding" by pressing #3

Line Selection or Call Back lights flashing:

A call back has been placed on your phone, press *7 or Access *7

Other Problems may be cured by a reset:

Lift the receiver and press #*112, then hang up. The phone should ring. Pick up and replace the receiver to complete the reset.

Dial tone is a constant ringing?

Try keying in the following sequence of keys on the phone: #*112 then listen for the confirmation tone (2 short beeps) then hang up the phone. If this works the phone will ring. Answer it, then hang up. Your phone should be back in service.

Phone Display is blank or too faint to read.

If you look the phone over carefully, you should find the dial used to control the contrast on the phone's display. Try rotating the dial to see if it was just accidentally turned down too low. If you still have no display, check the phone for for a dial tone to ensure it's plugged into a working port. If the display still is not functioning at this point, please report the problem to icnhelp.

Procedure for retrieving Voice Mail from outside the building.

1. Dial 358-7535

2. Press # after the operator begins to speak.

3. Enter your mailbox number, (the last four digits of your phone number).

4. At the prompt, enter your voice mail password.
